The best of 2020
Il 2020 è stato un anno da dimenticare sotto mille punti di vista, ma dobbiamo anche obbiettivamente dire che dal punto di vista della fotografia in alta risoluzione è stato un anno straordinario. Non credo solo per me considerato che sui social o sui forum ho visto lavori veramente meravigliosi di molti astrofotografi. Per me il 2020 è un anno da incorniciare, sono riuscito a realizzare le mie migliori foto sui 5 soggetti principali dell’astrofotografia in alta risoluzione, a mettere appunto nuova strumentazione e tecniche di elaborazione. Venere è stato in condizioni di ripresa molto favorevoli quest’anno, alto nel cielo nei mesi di aprile e maggio dove il seeing è solitamente migliore nelle mie zone. Ho potuto sperimentare e imparare l’utilizzo dei filtri UV e la realizzazione delle foto in bicromia UV+IR. Anche Marte si è presentato molto alto nel cielo verso la fine dell’estate. Anche questo periodo è molto favorevole in termini di seeing. Considerata la sfortunata grande opposizione del 2018 quest’anno la tempesta di polvere si è formata solamente quando ormai l’opposizione era lontana. Giove e Saturno sono stati clienti veramente ostici, in particolar modo per l’altezza sull’orizzonte che è e sarà ancora per qualche anno bassa. L’utilizzo di un ADC mi ha aiutato a correggere la dispersione atmosferica e la mia vacanza in sud Italia mia ha permesso di realizzare delle foto in buone condizioni di seeing dei giganti gassosi. 2020 was a year to forget from a thousand points of view, but we must also objectively say that from the point of view of high resolution photography it was an extraordinary year. I don't think just for myself considering that on social networks or forums I have seen truly wonderful works by many astrophotographers. For me 2020 is a year to remember, I was able to take my best photos on the 5 main subjects of high resolution astrophotography, to put in fact new instrumentation and processing techniques. Venus has been in very good shooting conditions this year, high in the sky in April and May where seeing is usually better in my area. I was able to experiment and learn the use of UV filters and the creation of UV + IR duotone photos. Mars also showed up very high in the sky towards the end of the summer. This period is also very favorable in terms of seeing. compared to the unfortunate big opposition of 2018 this year the dust storm only formed when the opposition was far away. Jupiter and Saturn have been really tough customers, especially for the height above the horizon. The use of an ADC helped me to correct the atmospheric dispersion and my vacation in southern Italy allowed me to take photos in good seeing conditions of the gas giants.
